It was then cast into precious metals and set with a diamond in the center of the cross, held by abundant flourishing acanthus leaf which clings to the cross, just as we also cling to the emblem of suffering and shame. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eAcanthus leaf has long served as a symbol of on-going friendship and\/or relationship, especially within the art of heraldic tradition.
